President of C&K Holdings, Mike Burton, was elected as President of the Illinois Trucking Association’s board of directors during the ITA Annual Meeting & Expo in December. ITA is a nonprofit organization led by trucking companies to promote and protect the interests of the trucking industry in Illinois. Mike had previously served as 2nd Vice President from 2019- 2020 and has been on the board in other roles for many years.

“I’m excited to get to work,” said Mike Burton. “I’ve seen the impact ITA has had on the industry not only from the perspective of a board member, but also from the perspective of a business owner, with our original terminal and headquarters in Chicago Ridge. I can’t wait to be a bigger part of their efforts and to continue pushing this industry forward.” With Mike Burton holding a more involved role on ITA’s board, there is optimism that with his extensive knowledge and expertise that the industry will make great strides during his tenure.
